Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lead, Subcontracts professional to manage the full lifecycle of subcontracting efforts for programs within our Aerospace & Defense portfolio. This role is critical to ensuring that cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are met across diverse subcontract types and program phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end subcontract management, from acquisition strategy and RFP development to negotiation, execution, and closeout.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in FAR/DFAR, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, etc.), and supplier risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Business Development.
- Evaluate and negotiate Statements of Work, pricing, schedules, and terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and other trade regulations.
- Support proposal efforts, including cost analysis and subcontractor selection.
- Provide guidance during government and internal audits.
- Travel may be required domestically and internationally as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years of subcontract management experience, or Graduate Degree with 7 years, or 13 years in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of government contracts and procurement regulations.
- Experience working with high-value subcontracts in a defense/aerospace environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Active or prior DoD Clearance (preferred, not required).
- Cost Account Management and budget forecasting experience.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
