CNC/Manual Machinist

Job Title: Machinist

Shift: 6am-12pm or 7am-1pm

Here is a list of required skills for the production machinist

• Set up and operate manual and NC milling machines, and grinders to fabricate precision components, tolerances to 0.005mm
• Interpret technical drawings, and tooling sheets to ensure accurate machining
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
• Strong math skills and problem-solving skills
• Conduct thorough inspections using precision measuring equipment, height gauges, micrometers, and calipers, to verify conformance to specifications
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize equipment performance
• Perform rework and modification of production parts including removal of broken screws, surface repairs, etc. Great care in attention to detail and cosmetic quality is required
• Ability to work independently without significant supervision.
• Good work ethic and ability to concentrate and complete assignments within expected time
• Experience with manual and NC lathes is a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $34.00 per hour
