What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC/Manual Machinist position at eCom Solutions Inc?
Job Title: Machinist
Shift: 6am-12pm or 7am-1pm
Here is a list of required skills for the production machinist
- Set up and operate manual and NC milling machines, and grinders to fabricate precision components, tolerances to 0.005mm
- Interpret technical drawings, and tooling sheets to ensure accurate machining
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
- Strong math skills and problem-solving skills
- Conduct thorough inspections using precision measuring equipment, height gauges, micrometers, and calipers, to verify conformance to specifications
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize equipment performance
- Perform rework and modification of production parts including removal of broken screws, surface repairs, etc. Great care in attention to detail and cosmetic quality is required
- Ability to work independently without significant supervision.
- Good work ethic and ability to concentrate and complete assignments within expected time
- Experience with manual and NC lathes is a plus
