What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planning Program Manager - E&O position at ECOLAB?

The Planning Program Manager (E&O focus) is to lead the supply chain Excess & Obsolete (E&O) or Material loss projects driven by supply chain planning, this includes but not limited the transformation project, process improvement projects or system projects. The Program manager is also going to represent NA Supply Chain Planning to join some E&O projects that driven by cross functional especially within supply chain, or between supply chain and business team.


What You Will Do:

  • Identify the root cause of the Material loss. Lead and facilitate the identified planning projects, majority for the process improvement projects and cross-functional business / supply chain projects
  • Understands the Inventory and E&O Reserve report and policy that is output from Corporate Supply Chain Finance
  • Assesses/critiques resources for projects. Participates in project selection process, determines benefits, recommends resources/team members.
  • Helps to develop, maintain, and track scorecard reporting related to E&O.
  • Organizes, plans, reviews, & communicates status of projects managed.
  • Participate E&O project on behalf of planning, or supply chain to ensure the strong output
  • Supports development of organizational culture of continuous improvement, accountability and results by formalizing program & project management methods and building as a core organizational competency.
  • Seeks out and quantifies process-improvement opportunities. Assesses/identifies risk to fulfill the defined objectives
  • Identifies organizational barriers; works with respective functional managers, to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Trains/mentors project team members in the DMAIC and 7 Step methodologies.
  • Supports product donations and auctions as necessary.
  • Networks with internal/external resources to bring best practices to the projects/organization.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years experience in planning, logistics, purchasing, manufacturing, or other supply chain functions


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in supply chain, operations, or statistics
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Green/Black Belt Certification, Familiar with DMAIC, 7 steps, RAID
  • CPIM
  • SAP/Advance planning system (ect Kinaxis) Experience
  • Financial experience, or strong financial knowledge
  • Proven ability to drive change and standardize process and procedure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
