Summary:
The main function of a communications specialist is to coordinates the internal communications that occurs within an organization. A typical communications specialist is responsible for ensuring the communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization's strategic vision.
Job Responsibilities:
• Keeps workers engaged in company initiatives.
• Publishes videos and photography on company website and blogs.
• Ensures organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education.
• Supports ideas with research and experience.
• Recommends what information should be presented to employees, and times the release of information to coordinate with company events or initiatives.
• Measures and presents results of communication efforts.
• Works with appropriate departments and management to publish timely company information, such as memos and company directives.
Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.• Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.
• 5-7 years related experience required.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30-37/h USD.
