Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Lead Estimator and Collector role based in Hunt Valley, MD. As one of our founding team members, you'll play a central part in how we estimate, bill, and collect—helping us build the systems and standards that will carry the company forward.
You'll be responsible for reviewing project scopes and preparing detailed, accurate estimates for restoration work in alignment with industry standards and insurance requirements. You'll also negotiate and collect on claims submitted to insurance companies, coordinating with project managers and adjusters to confirm scope, pricing, and timelines, and keeping customers informed about where their claim stands and what the adjuster is approving.
The role oversees invoicing and collections end-to-end: submitting documentation to insurance carriers, following up on outstanding payments, and resolving billing discrepancies. You'll keep organized records, track key performance metrics, and help us identify process improvements that support efficiency and profitability as we grow.

- Strong financial, billing, and collections skills, including invoice preparation, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
- Ability to interpret insurance policies, work with adjusters, and manage documentation for claims and approvals.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, team members, vendors, and insurance partners.
- Proficiency with office and estimation software (spreadsheets, job management tools; experience with Xactimate or similar is a plus).
- Proven organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple jobs, deadlines, and priorities.
- Experience in restoration, construction, or property services strongly preferred; familiarity with water, fire, or mold damage is a bonus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor team members, support field staff, and uphold safety and quality standards.
