The Role
We're hiring 1099 independent contractors to join us as residential cleaners. You'll be cleaning private homes and, for the right candidates, government-contract properties in the Hampton Roads area.
This is hands-on, physical work. You'll be on your feet all day moving through homes, working alongside a small team. We expect professionalism, attention to detail, and a great attitude.
What You'll Do
- Clean residential homes to Ecoar's quality standards
- Use eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products exclusively
- Work as part of a small, coordinated team
- Represent Ecoar professionally in every client's home
- Occasionally assist with transporting supplies (additional pay for driving duties)
What We're Looking For
- Reliable transportation to our Virginia Beach office (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Authorized to work in the United States (required)
- Willing to consent to a background check (required)
- Monday–Saturday availability
- Prior professional cleaning experience preferred — but not required
- Honest, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working with eco-friendly, non-toxic products
- Professional appearance and attitude
Compensation
- Starting at $16-$18/hour
- Paid portal-to-portal — your time starts when you arrive and ends when the last job is done
- Additional pay for driving/transportation duties
- 1099 independent contractor position
