Duties
- Measure window openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure proper fitment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to install glass windows, frames, trim carpentry, and fixtures.
- Perform heavy lifting of window units and materials safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install metal stud framing, drywall, and perform remodeling tasks as needed for seamless integration of new windows.
- Apply caulking and construction painting techniques to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic finish.
- Hang doors, install cabinets, and complete fixture installation to enhance overall project quality.
- Read schematics and blueprints thoroughly to follow precise installation instructions on-site.
- Conduct quality checks during installation to ensure compliance with safety standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with team members such as carpenters and handyman specialists for efficient project completion.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on window or glass installation projects.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment specific to the construction industry.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to window installation.
- Experience in remodeling, cabinetry, door hanging, metal stud framing, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and the ability to interpret construction plans accurately.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.
