Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring systems operate efficiently.
- Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to provide proper coverage tailored to landscape needs.
- Use mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues with irrigation and related landscape systems, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of system repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for client files and company documentation.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams on construction projects involving improvements, or new installations requiring irrigation integration.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver License
- Valid Certification as an Irrigation Technician or equivalent credential demonstrating expertise in irrigation systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working with lawn care equipment, hand tools, power tools, and construction machinery such as excavators.
- Knowledge of landscaping principles and general landscape maintenance techniques.
- Experience in irrigation installation, troubleshooting, and repair is essential.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints related to irrigation layouts and landscape design plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system diagnostics and repairs.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy equipment.
