Bilingual Forklift Mechanic

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bi-Lingual Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of forklifts. Your bilingual ability will enable effective communication with diverse team members and clients, ensuring smooth operations across multiple sites. Duties

• Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on forklifts.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues utilizing automotive diagnostics tools and electrical diagnostics techniques; execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding equipment and hand tools to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
• Service and repair forklifts with attention to safety standards and quality assurance.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs; ensure all repairs adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Assist in heavy equipment operation during maintenance tasks requiring heavy lifting or specialized handling.

Skills

• Proven experience with heavy equipment mechanics, including forklifts maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Skilled in using schematics, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for precise repairs.
• Ability to perform diesel engine diagnostics and repair; familiar with transmissions, HVAC systems, air brakes, alignment procedures, hydraulics, suspension components, tire service, and brake repair.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish to facilitate clear communication across diverse teams.
• Experience working in warehouse environments or with OEM parts is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of forklift servicing and maintenance is a plus.
• Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
