Role:
To improve the Credit Union's competitive position within the markers served; develop objectives, policies and programs for marketing activities of the Credit Union; plan, direct, and coordinate the efforts of marketing toward the accomplishment of overall objectives; provide ongoing training for employees in policies, procedures, products, services, and marketing campaigns.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
35% Directs all advertising and sales promotions. Develops advertising programs and collateral materials.
15% Directs marketing sales planning, including an analysis of competitive products/services and selling techniques.
10% Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for, and implements strategic plans designed to meet the
Credit Union's short and long erm marketing objectives.
10% Coordinates special events: monitors planning, schedules and implementation as required for proper execution of each event.
10% Works with sponsor group(s): promotes Credit Union to employees and works with sponsor to maintain a positive relationship.
10% Initiates staff training programs in member relations and selling techniques.
5% Conducts market research and recommends for products/service modifications or improvements.
5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To maintain a cohesive, highly trained and motivated staff, sufficient to meet the needs of the Credit Union.
2. To provide direction and recommendations to management, based on current research data, regarding market strategies and direction the Credit Union should take.
3. To deliver planned results within budget, to meet the credit union's growth objective with respect to new sponsor groups.
4. To provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
5. To work with management team in supporting public relations, business and community involvement efforts, and deliver planned results within budget.
6. To ensure all activities within the department are carried out within the prescribed times frames and with zero errors and to ensure marketing efforts are accurate, timely, and withing budget.
7. To conducts onsite visits with each SEG. Submit report outlining progress and any follow up action steps.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school,
Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influnecing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
