Position Overview:
This role is for a Clinical Research Psychologist (Psy.D.) who will specialize in the psychological and behavioral components of Phase I-IV Clinical Trials. The successful candidate must ensure the rigorous application of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards while executing standardized psychological assessments and/or interventions within the trial protocol.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Protocol Execution & Fidelity
- Standardized Assessment: Administer, score, and interpret psychological, behavioral, and cognitive outcome measures (e.g., HAM-D, MINI, cognitive batteries) exactly as defined in the trial protocol and Schedule of Assessments.
- Intervention Delivery: Deliver manualized, protocol-specific psychological interventions (e.g., psychoeducation, cognitive training, behavioral therapy) to trial participants, ensuring strict fidelity to the treatment manual.
- Rater Training and Certification: Actively participate in all rater training sessions, pass required certification tests (e.g., mock interviews, scale scoring competency exams), and maintain inter-rater reliability throughout the duration of the trial.
- Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the PI, Study Coordinators, Pharmacists, and Sponsors to ensure seamless integration of psychological procedures into the overall trial logistics.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
- Licensure: Eligible for or hold current independent licensure as a Psychologist.
