Your Role with the Company:
· Inspecting, diagnosing, and pinpointing mechanical issues in semi-trucks, construction equipment, trailers, skid steers, small tools, and various other mechanical equipment.
· Proficiently handling all aspects of heavy equipment repairs, such as tune-ups, hydraulic troubleshooting, fabrication, tire maintenance, welding, brake work, engine diagnostics, general servicing, oil changes, lighting, suspension systems, electrical/electronic systems, and diesel fuel systems.
· Repairing or fabricating parts to ensure equipment operates optimally. This may involve modifying, installing special equipment, using acetylene and arc welding equipment, and restoring vehicle bodies to their original condition.
· Adhering to all safety protocols and promptly reporting workplace hazards to the shop supervisor.
· Undertaking related duties and special projects as needed, including any other tasks assigned by the team.
Background Profile:
· Knowledge of safety practices related to mechanical repairs.
· Ability to maintain meticulous records related to mechanical repairs.
· Capability to inspect and perform both minor and major repairs on heavy construction equipment, Class 8 Trucks and Trailers, and a variety of Komatsu excavating equipment.
· Capacity to stand, walk, sit, squat, lie on the ground, crouch, climb stairs, and use hands for extended durations.
· Ability to frequently lift weights ranging from the floor to overhead, up to 50 pounds.
· Willingness to work in varying conditions, including exposure to unpleasant odors, grease, dirt, grime, wet floors, and prolonged exposure to noise.
· Construction Equipment Mechanic/Technician program or experience a plus but not required.
· Class A CDL is a preferred but not required
- Traveling to job sites is required.
· Mechanical knowledge: 2-5 years (Preferred)
