Job Description:
The Sheet Metal Mechanic responsibilities include: Responsible for installing, fabricating, and assembling sheet metal ductwork, fittings, dampers, hangers, supports, and HVAC components according to blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications. Measures, cuts, and fabricates sheet metal; seals and insulates ductwork; and safely operates hand tools, power tools, lifts, and fabrication equipment. Coordinates with foremen, project managers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Ensures all work complies with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and job-site requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Install sheet metal ductwork, fittings, dampers, and HVAC components.
- Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
- Install hangers, supports, and brackets for duct systems.
- Seal and insulate ductwork as required by project specifications.
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on job sites.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and fabrication equipment safely.
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings.
- Experience installing rectangular, spiral, and round duct systems.
- Familiarity with SMACNA standards is a plus.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Bonus Eligibility:
