Job Description:
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for preparing and processing shipping documentation accurately and on time to support efficient warehouse operations. This role coordinates with carriers, provides direction to drivers, and tracks incoming and outgoing shipments using a warehouse management system. Additional duties include maintaining detailed records, generating bills of lading, supporting material handling activities, and assisting with general administrative tasks. Strong attention to detail, organization, and effective communication skills are essential for success.

Pay Range: $21.32 - $21.32 per hour

Shift:
First Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicates daily with carriers and site staff to coordinate outbound shipments and equipment needs.
• Directs drivers, manages shipments in the warehouse system, and prepares accurate bills of lading.
• Maintains shipping records, ensures document accuracy, and resolves discrepancies as needed.
• Supports material handling, monitors trailer capacity, and assists with administrative tasks.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with (Manhattan) Warehouse Management System preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
• Good finger dexterity to input data into inventory records.
• Ability to input data on the computer to create a daily inventory report.
• Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
• Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills.
