Position Overview

The Integration Project Manager Manages activities associated with the design, development, and configuration of EMR systems solutions and architectural frameworks into client organizations. Work as a Integration Project Manager for projects that include but not limited to:

  • Practice management interfaces
  • Clinical interfaces (LIS, Devices, Smartpumps, Vitals etc.)
  • Community-wide interoperability
  • MACRA related interfaces- Immunization registry, Syndromic surveillance, Direct, Lab reporting, state
  • HIE
  • Community Analytics
  • Accountable Care Organizations
  • Third Party custom vendor integrations (e.g: ERP systems, Telemetry etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore solutions• Act as an analyst for any new development request and scope out the functional specification document.
  • Oversees project plans, and designs complex interface flows and makes recommendations to improve and support client’s business and workflow needs
  • Analyzes and documents client's business requirements and processes; constructs project plans and scope documents to communicate requirements
  • Provides time estimates for project related tasks
  • Creates and remains informational with latest interoperability technology and company’s development roadmap to understand the business domains
  • Be a team player and create documentation and share knowledge gathered with the entire team

Detailed Job Functions/Responsibilities

Project Planning (40% of daily duties) Develop and manage project plans for complex technical eClinicalWorks EMR and RCM suite data migration and implementation. Along with ensuring to cover various elements such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
a. MTC: Move to Cloud
i. Move to Cloud Project is a complex move where all the components of the system such as EMR, PM, Interoperability, Population Health Analytics, eBO need to be moved from on-premise (client-side) to eClinicalWorks hosted Data Center cloud solution. Below is the project planning that is required on a day to day basis, that starts from the sales contract, IT checks (network, SSL, hardware, etc.), design, implementation, support. b. Version Upgrade:
i. After the implementation of the eClinicalWorks suite, there might be a need to upgrade the ecosystem on a periodic basis. These types of complex projects that are time and technology-driven, requires project scoping, planning, implementing, managing and supporting them throughout the life cycle.
ii. Work with the install team on planning the pre-session, that will give a high-level overview of the status of the hardware/system.
iii. Understand the core of the task, document it and manage it with the client through an onsite or telephonic meeting.
iv. Providing pre-requisite (as mentioned below), manage it through the exceptions and allocating the correct timeline/resources on it.
v. Supporting the Version Upgrade
vi. Adhere to corporate standards for performance metrics, data collection, data integrity, query design and reporting format to ensure high quality, meaningful analytic output
vii. Will ensure that the business workflows and related functional specifications are following all applicable regulations
d. Tomcat/Server Version Upgrade:
i. To work with the install team on planning and executing versions for tomcats and/or servers.
ii. To ensure the compatibility of the tomcat/server versions with the eClinicalWorks product before the actual upgrade takes place
iii. Ensuring the content is upgradable and usable post-upgrade
iv. Making sure data integrity and sanity checks are successful post such upgrades.
e. CommonWell/CareQuality (Interoperability)
i. We will use computer-aided design along with HL7 standards, to have the safest and fastest way of delivering the patient information.
ii. Will manage CommonWell and CareQuality product implementation projects to ensure data flow in between healthcare systems

e. Review and document customer requirements/functional specs in the Jira software tool, both track and enhance the core technology to deliver the clinically risk-free system to the patients and compliant/reliable technology to the physicians. Below is the sample snapshot of Jira tool:
f. Engage in strategic/capacity planning on both resource allocations on the technology and management side to ensure the successful execution of the project.
g. Create and manage the schedule of all the identified resources ensuring the cost and time utilization are maintained according to the project plan. Manage the resources on the install team for planning the pre-session that will give a high-level overview of the status of the hardware/network systems. Understand the core of the task, document it and manage it with the client through an onsite or telephonic meeting.
h. Risk Assessment:
i. Responsible for assessing and managing the risk of the data migration tasks to ensure that the clinical risk is being avoided by migrating the correct clinical data while leading various mock migration and 1-0-1 testing elements through running the correct automated and manual scripts, prior to the final deployment.
j. Manage internal and external customer community and the software development team provide the most obvious risks with respect to the various product i.e. patient engagement such as patient portal and eClinicalMessenger implementation. Design the mitigation plan to avoid the patient engagement delays and compromising on the consumer level satisfaction, along with presenting this plan to key stakeholders from both client and internally
2. Project Execution/Implementation: (20% of daily duties) Manage multiple full implementation projects across the project life cycle along with project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
3. Manage, review and track deliverables ensuring appropriate standards and adherence to quality control checks before passing to the clients (20% of daily duties)
4. Document and resource management (10% of daily duties)

5. Manage executive client relationships and expectations (10% of daily duties)

a. Identify business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific
project, perform onsite meeting with the clients, demo the backend of the engineering system along with go through the presentations on the timeline and cost evaluation/comparison to be on eClinicalWorks eco-system i.e. EMR -> RCM -> Patient Engagement -> Population Health.
b. Will be responsible to resolve difficult situations and share sensitive information tactfully and establish and execute a project plan in an effective manner.
c. Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties and set and manage client expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • SQL knowledge and skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Technical background is strongly preferred. Every interface comes with its unique limitations and an Ideal candidate will be one who can think of alternatives and propose solutions
  • Must be willing to travel to meet with customers and make official trips (as needed)
