Position Overview:

• Network Field Technician to support an in-flight SD-WAN and network refresh initiative across approximately 18-19 regional locations.
• Highly hands-on and field-focused, providing boots-on-the-ground support for network hardware deployments, replacements, and basic configurations.
• This is not an architecture or design role.
• Comfortable working independently, traveling to sites, and handling day-to-day network installation and support tasks with minimal oversight.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Travel to regional sites to perform network hardware installations and replacements.
• Replace and deploy:
• Network switches (typically 36-40 port).
• Wireless access points.
• Perform basic setup and configuration of network devices.
• Support Cisco-based SD-WAN (Viptela) environments at a field level.
• Conduct site visits to:
• Assess current network conditions.
• Verify equipment status.
• Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues.
• Work closely with the Network Infrastructure team to execute assigned tasks.
• Handle ad-hoc / miscellaneous network support tasks as needed.
• Provide clear updates and documentation after site visits.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience preferred:
• Consultant with less experience will be considered if they have service provider or MSP background.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Network switch and access point installation.
• Basic network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Comfort working independently in field environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally.
• Strong reliability and ability to follow direction without close supervision.
• Technical Environment:
• Cisco networking equipment
• Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela)
• Cisco wireless infrastructure
• Switches, access points, and related network hardware
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting SD-WAN deployments.
• Cisco hardware exposure (routing, switching, wireless).
• Experience supporting multi-site environments.
