About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled HCM Workday Reports Specialist to lead and support reporting initiatives within Workday, especially during the transition from legacy HR systems. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Workday’s reporting tools, HR data, and the ability to convert complex legacy reports into modern, dynamic Workday dashboards and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Legacy System Conversion to Workday (Reporting Focus)
o Analyze existing legacy system reports (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle) to understand structure, logic, and business requirements.
o Partner with stakeholders to map legacy data and reporting logic to Workday’s reporting tools and structures.
o Rebuild, optimize, or consolidate legacy reports using Workday tools such as Advanced Reports, Composite Reports, and Calculated Fields.
o Conduct gap analysis between legacy reports and Workday functionality, and provide recommendations for custom report development.
o Assist in testing, validation, and sign-off of converted reports to ensure data accuracy and reporting continuity.
o Support the business through the transition by offering training, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Workday Reporting & Dashboards
o Design, develop, and maintain a wide range of Workday reports including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Calculated Fields.
o Build and optimize dashboards to visualize workforce data and key HR metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, DEI, time-to-fill, performance trends).
o Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other teams to understand data needs and deliver accurate, timely reports.
o Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot inconsistencies across reports or sources.
Data Analysis & Insights
o Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for business and HR leaders.
o Support ad hoc reporting and workforce analytics to inform strategic decisions.
o Monitor trends in hiring, attrition, promotions, and other workforce KPIs.
o Provide predictive and historical data analysis where applicable.
System Support & Optimization
o Collaborate with the HRIS and IT teams to improve data structures, reporting logic, and overall system efficiency.
o Stay up to date with Workday reporting functionality and leverage new features from system releases.
o Maintain proper report documentation, governance, and version control practices.
