Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Handle food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches, snacks, and other café offerings in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Clover POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and sanitation procedures
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using basic math skills for transactions and register balancing
- Support food safety protocols and proper food handling practices to ensure quality and compliance
Skills
- Previous restaurant experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work well in a team environment within a café or retail setting
