Assistant Superintendent — ECKSTRØM
ECKSTRØM is a design-driven townhouse development atelier focused on one-of-a-kind homes. Each project is crafted, not replicated — combining historic character with modern living.
We’re currently looking for a junior Assistant Superintendent to join the team.
This is a hands-on role working directly with our superintendent across multiple high-end townhouse projects. You’ll be on-site, involved in the day-to-day, and expected to stay close to the details — from structure and systems to finishes and final execution.
This role is as much about how a building stands as how it feels.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.
This is not a passive or purely managerial role — we’re looking for someone who wants to understand how buildings come together and be part of the execution.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating daily on-site construction activity
- Tracking subcontractors and ensuring work aligns with drawings, sequencing, and schedule
- Supporting quality control across all phases — including structural work, MEP coordination, and finishes
- Assisting with procurement and ensuring materials are properly delivered, protected, and installed
- Maintaining site organization, safety awareness, and compliance with building standards
- Maintaining daily logs and tracking progress
- Identifying issues early and helping solve them before they escalate
- Assisting with punch lists and project closeout
Who this is for
- 2–5 years of construction or site experience
- Degree is helpful, but not required — strong on-site experience matters more
- Solid understanding (or strong interest in learning) how buildings are constructed — structure, systems, and sequencing
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Strong note-taking and follow-through
- Self-starter who doesn’t need to be micromanaged
- Comfortable multitasking across multiple projects
- Team player with a good attitude on-site
- Interested in both the technical and design side of residential construction
- Comfortable using AI tools for organization and research
