Residential Adolescent Treatment Aide – Make a Difference Every Day

As a Residential Adolescent Treatment Aide, you’ll work hands-on with adolescents in a residential setting—building relationships, teaching life skills, and helping create a safe, structured environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Mentor and build positive, supportive relationships with youth every day
  • Keep youth safe with active supervision at all times
  • Teach life skills, support schoolwork, and help youth make progress toward their goals
  • Participate in activities like games, outings, and programming
  • Handle real-life situations using problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Document daily activities and communicate with your team
  • Help with meals, routines, and maintaining a clean environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay calm and think clearly in challenging situations

Schedule:

  • 8–12 hour shifts (days, evenings, or overnights)
  • Includes two weekends per month
  • Full-time, 24/7 program

Essential Job Functions

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Move between and within two-story residential buildings, including frequent stair use.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Participate in physical activities with youth, such as walking, hiking, bowling, and light sports.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and sustained physical movement.
  • Sit for extended periods, including up to one hour or more, as required for transportation or desk tasks.
  • Drive for an unspecified amount of time comfortably and with a valid driver’s license.
  • Complete any additional assignments identified by a supervisor or lead, including setting/disengaging alarms.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to support the spiritual, educational, behavioral, emotional, and physical development of children and youth in Eckert’s care.
