FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that the customer is the #1 priority and that every guest is treated accordingly.
- Manage the first 5 Moments of Magic:
- Your section – clean and presentable
- Your tables – cleaned and well stocked
- Your guests food – cooked how they ordered it & presented properly
- The check – accurate and delivered timely
- Last impression – hand out coupons/information and invite them back
- Communicate with Restaurant Manager.
- Take reservations over the phone or personally.
- Greet every customer within 5 feet with at least friendly eye contact.
- Escort customers to their table.
- Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations.
- Inform customers of the daily special.
- Serve food and or beverages to patrons.
- Frequently check back with patrons assuring their meal and experience is perfect.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales tax.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as drink station,
- Handle cash, check, credit card and gift certificate payments
- Answer customers questions and provide accurate information
- Maintain clean and orderly work stations.
- Perform all side work assigned and help other when they need my help to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and professionally.
- Take all completed food orders out in the window, even if they are not my own.
- Resolve customer complaints
- Communicate with other restaurant staff
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk and hear.
- Generally light physical effort. The employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs. rarely and/or 5 to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships along with adjusting the eye to bring objects into sharp focus.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Good working conditions.

Knowledge/Experience: Job requires a high school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities
Skills and Abilities: This may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
