Salary Rate: $57,000
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Social Development Director directly supervises the Residential Living Counseling, CPP and Recreation/Fitness/Health Programs. Responsible for the management of social development functions, in compliance with government and management directives.
- The Social Development Director plans, coordinates and manages the administrative and programmatic activities of the department, including coordination of the CSS program.
- Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement staff changes as approved by the Center Director.
- Oversee the scheduling and operation of Center sponsored recreation activities and programs.
- Oversee the staff schedule 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for dorm and recreation coverage.
- Provide support and guidance to staff in dealing with behavior of students and resolving individual or group situations.
- Develop and distribute weekly monthly and annual recreation/vocation plans and scheduled activities.
- Coordinates the Career Success Standards /Conflict Resolution Programs and provides input on career development skills of students.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in counseling or work-related field preferred.
- Three years of broad-based professional Job Corps or similar training program experience preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience required.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
