About the Role: As an AVP Delivery Driver, you will use your personal vehicle to deliver FedEx packages to residential and some business locations within Lane and Douglas Counties. Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Deliveries: Pick up packages from Cottage Grove or a designated meeting point, then efficiently plan and execute daily delivery routes using provided scanning and navigation tools.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries.
- Package Handling: Safely load, unload, and deliver packages of various sizes and weights (typically smaller, lighter items but could be up to 150 lbs).
- Safety First: Operate your personal vehicle safely and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Record Keeping: Accurately scan and log delivery information using a handheld scanner or app.
What We're Looking For (Requirements):
- Age: Must be 21 years or older.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (no excessive speeding tickets, DUIs, etc.).
- Reliable Vehicle:
- Must own a dependable personal vehicle (SUV, minivan, cargo van, or pickup trucks with a secure, lockable cap preferred)
- Vehicle must be 2011 or newer, less than 14 years old.
- Vehicle must be properly insured and registered.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift, carry, and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs.
- Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Navigation: Familiarity with GPS and smartphone applications for navigation.
- Local Knowledge (Preferred but not required): General knowledge of Lane and Douglas County areas is a plus.
