Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning for daily menu items
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Support menu planning by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation to prevent waste and ensure freshness
- Participate in catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
- Serve food efficiently while providing friendly, professional customer service to guests
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred; culinary experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are essential for efficiency and safety
- Background in the food industry or kitchen environment helps ensure quick adaptation to our standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices is required
- Experience with menu planning or catering services enhances your ability to contribute creatively to the team
- Prior food service or restaurant experience will support your success in this energetic role
Pay Rate: $23.18 ( includes $4.93 in Cash Benefits)
Shift Hours:
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm and Day Shift 7am to 2pm both available
Shifts are available Saturday and Sundays
Pay: From $23.18 per hour
