The Head of Legal Compliance & Risk Programs will design, modernize, and execute a forward-thinking, low-touch Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework tailored specifically for executive leadership. This role solves the challenge of heavy administrative friction by leveraging AI and automation to synthesize data, track top-tier risks, and streamline records management. Additionally, the role oversees legal Data Governance, vendor regulatory obligations, and AI legal compliance to ensure business velocity while maintaining global regulatory standards.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

• Design and execute a low-touch ERM program that leverages AI tools to administer manual tasks and provide real-time, high-yield risk visibility to executive leadership
• Conduct periodic Enterprise Risk Assessments aligned with DOJ Guidelines to evaluate international operations, regulatory shifts, and critical business relationships
• Overhaul information governance policies in collaboration with IT to enforce data retention, archive legacy datasets, and align data lifecycles with global privacy standards like GDPR and CCPA/CPRA
• Establish comprehensive governance mechanisms across business lines to monitor AI-related risks, including algorithmic bias, data confidentiality, transparency, and intellectual property
• Standardize vendor onboarding, contractual compliance, and risk re-assessments in partnership with Supply Chain and InfoSec to oversee Modern Slavery, labor standards, and data privacy obligations

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

• Strategic leadership in designing low-touch enterprise risk management frameworks and executing corporate compliance programs
• Deep understanding of global privacy laws, records management, and data lifecycle governance frameworks
• Ability to establish cross-functional governance mechanisms for emerging AI regulatory risks, data confidentiality, and intellectual property protection
• Expertise in vendor risk management, third-party compliance auditing, and supply chain regulatory oversight
• AI literacy and application skills to automate administrative workflows, analyze compliance data, and generate executive insights
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder collaboration, and executive decision-making capabilities

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience working directly within an in-house legal operations environment or legal department

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum Experience: 7-10 years of professional experience, with 4 years working with an in-house legal team or law firm
• Required Skills: Must have at least 4 years of experience with:
• Risk management and compliance program software
• Word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
