Job Description
- Deliver real-time simultaneous and consecutive interpretation between Korean and English across meetings, field operations, and technical discussions
- Serve as the critical communication link between Korean expatriate staff and local employees, contractors, and vendors
- Provide accurate technical interpretation for construction, equipment installation, and semiconductor manufacturing activities
- Translate documents, emails, technical specifications, and meeting materials with precision and urgency
- Respond to short-notice requests and adapt quickly to shifting priorities and schedules
- Uphold strict standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism at all times
Requirements
- Professional interpretation experience is required — entry-level candidates will not be considered
- Demonstrated proficiency in both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting techniques
- Strong background in technical translation, ideally within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or semiconductor industries
- Native or near-native fluency in both Korean and English
- Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as operational demands require
- Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure, fast-changing environments
- Must be eligible to work in the US (No sponsorship available)
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience in interpretation or translation will be considered.
