Responsibilities
- Maintain the health and appearance of greens, fairways, tees, and roughs through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding.
- Operate and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and prevent water wastage.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, weed control, and soil management to promote lush growth.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and effectively for routine upkeep.
- Manage pesticide application procedures following safety guidelines to control pests while protecting the environment.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or materials needed for course maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools; perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience with irrigation systems installation, repair, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques specific to golf course environments.
- Ability to handle manual labor tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
