Job Title: ServiceNow Backend Developer

Job Type: Long Term Contract

Location: Santa Clara, CA (3 days onsite in week)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Backend Developer with strong expertise in building, configuring, and optimizing backend components within the ServiceNow platform. The role involves developing server-side scripts, integrations, workflows, and automation solutions to support enterprise service management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop server-side scripting using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Scheduled Jobs.
Build and maintain Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server) with external systems.
Develop Flows, Workflows, ACLs, and Data policies to support business requirements.
Customize and configure modules across ITSM/ITOM/CMDB/ITAM as needed.
Optimize platform performance, troubleshoot backend issues, and support platform upgrades.
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with ServiceNow backend development and Glide scripting.
Expertise in Integration Hub, web services, encryption, and API security.
Good understanding of ServiceNow data models, CMDB, discovery, and automation.
Familiarity with ServiceNow best practices, platform architecture, and governance.
Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.

Knowledge of ServiceNow UI Builder/Seismic (for modern development).
Certifications: CSA, CAD, ITSM, or related domain certifications.
