What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop support position at Echo IT Solutions, Inc.?
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, support, and optimize enterprise Windows Server infrastructure to ensure high availability and system reliability.
Perform regular health checks, system monitoring, and root cause analysis for Windows platform related incidents.
Configure, maintain, and enhance Active Directory services, Group Policies, and user access management.
Drive automation initiatives using scripting tools such as PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams for seamless service operations and issue resolution.
Support disaster recovery planning, backup validation, and restoration activities for critical systems.
Prepare and update technical runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation for operational processes.
Participate in infrastructure modernization projects, including server migrations, patching activities, and environment upgrades.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 operational support and mentor junior team members on Windows platform administration.
Ensure systems adhere to organizational security standards, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.
