Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical panels using detailed schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide assembly and troubleshooting processes.
- Install and wire electro-mechanical components such as relays, contactors, circuit breakers, transformers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform surface mount technology (SMT) assembly on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using appropriate soldering techniques in compliance with IPC 610 standards.
- Conduct electrical testing using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, calipers, and power tools to verify circuit integrity and panel functionality.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues by analyzing schematics and diagnosing faults in wiring or components through engineering troubleshooting methods.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes, test results, and inspection reports to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical panel building within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), and soldering techniques aligned with IPC 610 standards.
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience working with electro-mechanical components such as relays, PLCs, transformers, contactors, and sensors.
- Skilled in using hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers), power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for assembly and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes or mechanical assembly is a plus.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Prior experience with engineering troubleshooting techniques for complex electrical systems is highly desirable.
