At ECHN, we are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate patients and determine appropriate therapeutic treatments to restore speech and language functions. You will educate patients and families on home exercise programs while ensuring compliance with established treatment goals and insurance guidelines.
You will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and participate in community education efforts, all while maintaining professional standards and supervising clinical students. Your responsibilities will include evaluating patients based on departmental standards, conducting and modifying evaluations based on patient symptoms, level of activity, and medical status, and establishing individualized, appropriate, measurable goals for each patient.
You will treat patients with the appropriate and acceptable therapeutic techniques, administer physical agents (modalities) and manual therapeutic technique to attain established goals, and utilize effective techniques to assist in normalizing speech and language activity. You will also educate patients/families in home exercise programs and/or functional activities to maximize independent functional activity.
