Certified Financial Planner | Chicago (Hybrid)
This role supports ultra-high-net-worth principals within a long-established, multi-generational private family office. The Wealth Planner partners closely with senior leadership to deliver sophisticated tax, estate, trust, and wealth transfer planning, while managing ongoing advisory relationships and coordinating across internal teams and outside advisors.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a primary planning partner to family members and related entities
• Lead and participate in client meetings, both in person and virtual
• Guide and support junior advisors and associates
• Review and analyze trusts, estate plans, and complex ownership structures
• Develop financial plans, cash flow models, and planning analyses
• Coordinate tax planning, compliance, and related advisory work
• Oversee and support complex transactions such as gifting, distributions, and capital calls
• Work closely with investment managers, banks, attorneys, and tax professionals
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 years of experience in wealth management, family office, or financial advisory roles
• Strong technical foundation in tax, estate, and/or financial planning
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
• Comfortable working with financial planning tools and CRM systems
• Bachelor’s degree required; CFP®, CPA, JD, or advanced education a plus
• Open to public accounting professionals with significant HNW or UHNW tax experience
