About Us
ECE Substitutes, Inc. partners with early education centers across the Kansas City Metro to provide dependable, classroom-ready educators. We’re looking for substitute preschool teachers who can bring consistency, care, and creativity to the classroom while supporting daily routines and curriculum goals. MUST be able to work at least 16 hrs/week.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced early childhood teachers who want stability, purpose, and flexibility. As a long-term substitute, you’ll work in the same classroom or center for an extended period—ensuring children’s growth continues uninterrupted.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a preschool classroom serving children ages 2–5
- Support daily routines, implement lesson plans, and ensure a nurturing environment
- Support children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
- Communicate effectively with center staff and directors
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 12 months classroom experience in a licensed early childhood setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Head Start Experience/Knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom management
- Dependable, flexible, and ready to start soon
- Must pass all state-required background checks and health clearances
