About Us
ECE Substitutes, Inc. partners with early education centers across the Kansas City Metro to provide dependable, classroom-ready educators. We’re looking for support teachers who can bring consistency, care, and creativity to the classroom while supporting daily routines and curriculum goals. MUST be able to work full-time at least 16-24 hrs/week.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced early childhood teachers who want stability, purpose, and flexibility. As a long-term substitute, you’ll work in the same classroom or center for an extended period—ensuring children’s growth continues uninterrupted.
Responsibilities
- Support classrooms serving children ages 2-5
- Support daily routines, implement lesson plans, and ensure a nurturing environment
- Support children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
- Communicate effectively with center staff and directors
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 12 months classroom experience in a licensed early childhood setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom management
- Dependable, flexible, and ready to start in January
- Must pass all state-required background checks and health clearances
