ECE Subhub is hiring early childhood substitute teachers to support child care centers and early learning programs in the Ann Arbor area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants flexible, meaningful work in a supportive environment. Our substitute teachers work with children ages birth to 5 and help provide safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom support.

What You'll Do
As an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher, you may:
- Support teachers with daily classroom routines and activities
- Engage children in play, learning, and age-appropriate activities
- Assist with meals, rest time, transitions, and classroom supervision
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children, staff, and families
- Follow center policies, licensing expectations, and classroom procedures
What We're Looking For
We are looking for reliable, caring, and professional individuals who enjoy working with young children.
Preferred qualifications include one or more of the following:
- Experience working with children birth through age 5
- CDA credential
- Associate degree or at least 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Youth or Family Studies, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Human Services, Child Development, Family or Youth Studies, or a related field
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Schedule
- Part-time to full-time opportunities available
- Monday–Friday
- Daytime hours between approximately 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Minimum availability of 2 days per week
Pay
$15–$22 per hour, based on experience, education, credentials, and assignment type.
