What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Specialist position at ECC?
This Operations Specialist is responsible for performing daily operational duties of a Groundwater Treatment Facility in the Baltimore / Philadelphia area. Must be able to travel to project sites. In this position you will:
- Perform daily operation of a Groundwater Treatment Facility
- Perform operational duties, daily testing and record keeping as well as process control functions
- Responsibilities also include regulatory and safety compliance
- Assist with routine maintenance and facility grounds upkeep
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
- Apply basic knowledge of relevant principles and tools, as directed
- Apply standard protocol for work, as directed
- Communicate effectively by written and verbal means
- Perform multiple concurrent tasks and meet timelines, as directed
- Work well independently and as a team
- 3 years of relative coursework or project experience in treatment plant operations
- Education - High School diploma or GED is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledgeable and skilled in groundwater treatment technologies, including but not limited to metals removal systems, particulate filtration systems, sludge dewatering, ultraviolet oxidation, absorptive resin/steam regeneration systems, liquid and vapor phase granular activated carbon systems
- A Maryland Class VI Operators license or equivalent, or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months employment.
The targeted base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually.
