ECPC Pain Specialists – Wake Offices – X-Ray Technician / Radiologist

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled, dependable X-Ray Technician to join our interventional pain management team. In this role, you will primarily assist providers by operating the C-arm for fluoroscopic-guided procedures, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency during all imaging processes. You will be responsible for managing the patient appointment from start to finish, including preparing and cleaning procedure rooms, obtaining consents, and guiding patients from the start of their appointment through completion, while addressing any questions or concerns along the way.
This position also requires flexibility to support clinical operations beyond imaging, including stepping into a Medical Assistant role when needed—such as when a provider utilizing imaging is out or as workflow demands dictate. Additionally, this role will support other X-ray modalities as our imaging services expand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, professionalism and positivity.
Key Responsibilities
Operate C-arm fluoroscopy equipment during interventional pain procedures
Ensure proper patient positioning and imaging quality while maintaining radiation safety standards
Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, procedure rooms, and supplies. Set up room for procedure; clean and reset upon completion.
Assist providers before, during, and after procedures to support clinical workflow. Obtain consent and review all safety items and patient questions before and after procedures. Save and transfer imaging safety and securely across digital platforms.
Provide Medical Assistant support as needed, including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting with patient flow when imaging support is not required or staffing needs shift
Adhere to all radiation safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards
Document imaging procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)
Monitor and maintain imaging equipment functionality – handle annual checks/inspections; maintain radiation safety binders for all locations with up-to-date and accurate information. In charge of all team radiation safety badges to be mailed in and renewed on a quarterly basis. Confirm documentation and safe keeping of all radiation reports.
Support additional X-ray imaging modalities as needed for future service expansion
Assist with patient preparation, including explaining procedures, obtaining consent and addressing concerns before and after procedures.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Walk patient to discharge window and ensure proper next visit scheduling.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team and/or providers

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- Active ARRT certification required
- 1–2 years of X-ray experience required
- Experience with C-arm/fluoroscopy preferred
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with computers and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks experience a plus)
