Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
- Scan and upload medical records and other documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Assist with referrals and other front office administrative duties.
- Float between multiple office locations as needed to provide coverage.
- Minimum of1 year of medical front office experiencerequired.
- Experience in a specialty medical practice preferred (pain management experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and medical terminology.
- Experience with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between office locations.
- Professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
