MasTec is seeking a Vice President of Project Controls to serve as key business leader within our Power Delivery Segment. This role reports directly to Power Delivery CFO with relationships with peers in each region. The VP will provide direct support to the Finance Leadership Team defining project controls strategy spanning scheduling, cost forecasting, risk and reporting across large scale programs

- Lead dashboards and KPI’s
- Cost, Schedule and Risk Management
- Monitor and Validate cost forecasts, accruals, budgets, and change orders
- Oversee schedule performance
- Establish a risk register and execution controls
- Leadership Development
- Build, lead and mentor high-performing project controls team fostering technical best practices and continuous improvement culture
- Interface with Senior Leadership and act as a trusted advisor to project teams and functional lines including regional leadership
- BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Management; MBA, MS and/or CPA preferred
- 8-10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years serving in a leadership role supporting a field-based business; energy/construction industry experience preferred
- Working knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements and systems; experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues
- Hand on Oracle, Vista, JD Edwards or similar ERP systems experience; background coordinating with IT to manage, upgrade, optimize and/or implement systems
- Strong record of building capable, committed and highly effective teams
- Demonstrated experience leading teams/organizations through periods of extreme change and ambiguity
