Job Description
The Assistant Manager - Human Resources will serve as a key HR Business Partner (HRBP) supporting business leaders and employees across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This role will lead critical HR functions including Onboarding, Performance Management, HR Compliance, Payroll, Exits, and all local HR operations for our U.S. office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the HR Business Partner for U.S. operations, managing compliance, onboarding, exits, payroll, and all local HR items.
- Guide leaders and employees regarding company policies, values, and HR programs (benefits, pay, and salary administration) to ensure consistent and timely application.
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle including recruitment support, background checks, onboarding, data changes, and offboarding.
- Partner with ADP to administer and optimize HRIS, payroll, and benefits processes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA).
- Maintain and regularly update employee handbooks for each U.S. state in which EC-Council operates.
- Lead compliance audits and maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting.
- Support leadership in performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Drive employee engagement, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, and culture-building programs.
- Proactively identify and address employee relations issues, conducting investigations and providing appropriate resolutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global HR and business teams to align HR strategy with organizational goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate adaptability and sound judgment in complex or ambiguous business situations.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Labor Relations, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with HRBP exposure.
- Experience with ADP systems (payroll and HRIS) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in HR operations including compliance, payroll, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Strong understanding of U.S. labour laws and HR best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic HR planning with hands-on execution.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
