What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computational Biologist (Senior, Principal) position at EBVio?
About EBVio
EBVio is a preclinical therapeutics company developing novel treatments to target the root cause of major autoimmune diseases. Its core mission is to create precision medicines that selectively eliminate cells that drive autoimmunity, delivering the potential for safer and more effective treatment.
About the Position
Title: Computational Biologist (Senior, Principal)
EBVio seeks a talented and highly motivated Computational Biologist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our data-driven pipeline, translating complex biological datasets into actionable insights at the intersection of immunology and data science. You will work cross-functionally to develop and advance novel therapeutics, directly contributing to our mission to treat major autoimmune diseases.
EBVio uses its proprietary technology platform to identify the key cells driving autoimmunity, and the associated molecules that can be used as therapeutic targets. We study these molecules in depth to understand their potential as targets, elucidating characteristics including function, distribution, regulation, structure, and connections to disease biology. This enables us to select the most effective and specific targets, and understand their relationship to patient populations and biomarkers.
Your primary responsibilities will include applying advanced statistical modeling to research target biology in depth and grounding our molecular knowledge in the context of complex disease mechanisms. To support these discovery efforts, you will develop and maintain robust computational pipelines for single-cell RNA-seq, CITE-seq, and multi-omic profiling to accelerate target discovery. Furthermore, you will ensure the integrity of our discovery engine by championing reproducible analysis practices and contributing to the development of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to bridge the gap between wet lab experiments and digital insights.
In this role, your computational expertise in immunology, high-dimensional data analysis, and statistical methods will expand our understanding of therapeutic mechanisms and disease biology, providing critical support for our antibody therapeutics program. By collaborating closely with research and preclinical teams, you will identify strategic opportunities where computational biology and data science can accelerate our pipeline and help deliver life-changing medicines to patients with autoimmune diseases.
