Job Summary
Compiles and maintains finished product inventory and shipping records in global shop system. Arranges for transport of finished product according to requirements established by sales service personnel. Maintains daily, weekly, monthly and annual shipping reports in spreadsheet format for sales and accounting purposes. Serves as backup to department material handler operating material handling equipment as needed. Assists with physical inventory activities. Maintains housekeeping in work area. Also serves as backup to supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure products are prepared and dispatched promptly.
- Keep precise records of all shipped inventory.
- Communicate clearly with forklift operators, truck drivers, supervisors, and the project manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the office.
- Collaborate as a team player, offering assistance whenever and wherever it is needed.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year's experience in a warehouse setting.
- At least six months' experience as a shipping clerk.
- Proficient in performing the four basic arithmetic operations with decimals and fractions.
- Capable of reading methods and procedures and composing reports in the correct format.
- Able to assist with unloading containers, including repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must communicate clearly and effectively.
- Possess intermediate computer skills, including mainframe data entry, basic spreadsheet use, and word processing.
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift or a willingness to learn this skill.
