Senior Tax Accountant
Position Summary: The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for supporting domestic and international tax compliance, tax provision activities, and tax-related reporting requirements. This role plays a key part in preparing and reviewing tax filings, supporting ASC 740 calculations, assisting with audits, and contributing to process improvements and tax technology initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to expand their expertise in corporate taxation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare international tax compliance filings, including Forms 5471 and 8858.
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
- Support income tax provision activities, including ASC 740 calculations and related documentation.
- Compute earnings and profits, tested income, and other tax calculations in accordance with federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and reconcile book-to-tax adjustments and deferred tax schedules.
- Assist with return-to-provision calculations and tax reporting processes.
- Support responses to tax audits, notices, and regulatory inquiries.
- Participate in tax planning and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with the implementation and optimization of tax technology and automation solutions.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred.
- 3 years of tax experience; international tax compliance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and international tax concepts and regulations.
- Experience with tax preparation software and tax research tools.
- Familiarity with ASC 740 and income tax provision processes preferred.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial technology tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
