Senior Accountant
Position Overview: The Senior Accountant supports the Controller and financial reporting teams in the monthly close and financial reporting processes. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. The position also maintains quality control over financial reporting, supports internal and external audit processes, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform account and financial statement analysis to support reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate financial data and ensure the integrity of supporting documentation.
- Maintain and document financial reporting controls in compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
- Prepare financial data for management presentations and ad hoc analysis.
- Stay current on US GAAP, SEC, and other relevant regulatory developments.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in special projects and other assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with regulatory accounting preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., Oracle; Oracle HFM preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
