Job Description: Janitor Custodians/Housekeeping Specialists

Position Overview: We are seeking skilled and highly exceptional Janitor Custodians/Housekeeping Specialists to join our EBS-4U team! You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. You must be able to lift at least 25 – 50 pounds, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and walk. You must have reliable transportation and be able to work in_ Palo Alto, CA USA . _

Having the ability to use and operate floor machines is critical.

Candidates must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check up to 7 yrs. past and drug test.

Unless otherwise specified, all personnel will be working 40 hours a week spread out to cover 7 days a week (Mon-Sun); including the eleven holidays observed. The candidate shall generally perform all work between the hours of 6:00 AM and 10:30 PM PST.

• 1st Shift Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
• 2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Empty waste cans and reline,
• Clean Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
• Spot clean/wash interior windows and door glass,
• Dust mop/wet mop all tile floors,
• Clean patient restrooms mid-day,
• Clean public restrooms,
• Check and Refill all paper towel, toilet paper, and soap dispensers,
• Clean and organize all housekeeping closets,
• Clean/sanitize all bathrooms utilizing a germicidal disinfectant,
• Buff all tile floors,
• Dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces (ceilings, vents,),
• Spot clean furniture,
• Spot clean waste cans,
• Empty Recycling Containers,
• Wash walls and doors,
• Vacuum carpets, entrance mats, and runners,
• Polish all stainless steel,
• Cover all bed discharges which includes cleaning and remaking beds,
• Staging and storage of both clean and soiled linen, which includes washing of bed sheets,
• Strip and refinish all tile floors,
• Shampoo/extract carpets utilizing soil retardant,
• Interior and Exterior of windows and doors on first floor level,
• Change curtains,
• Unoccupied room cleaning

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Executive Housekeeper (C.E.H.) is a plus.
• National Executive Housekeeping Association (N.E.H.A.) is a plus
• Ability to speak and read fluently in English.
• Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong attention to detail

• Floor burnisher

Minimum Experience – Have at least two years’ experience as a janitor or housekeeper in a commercial/healthcare/industrial building or hotel/motel.

Minimum Education – High school diploma or equivalent; Sufficient to read, write and speak the English language.

Pay: $20.45 - $22.45 per hour
