About Ebon Energy
Ebon Energy is building its U.S. presence in the power and energy infrastructure market, with a focus on transformer and power-distribution solutions serving the rapidly growing needs of data centers, utilities, and other critical infrastructure customers.
As we expand our U.S. commercial organization and North American market presence, we are building a team of experienced industry leaders who can help establish strategic customer relationships, develop key accounts, and position Ebon as a trusted power-infrastructure partner.
The Opportunity
Ebon Energy is seeking an experienced Business Development Director – Data Center Power Infrastructure to lead the development of our North American data center business.
This is a hands-on market-building role for a commercial leader who understands the data center power ecosystem and can develop relationships across hyperscalers, colocation operators, developers, consulting engineers, EPCs, and electrical contractors.
You will lead major opportunities from early-stage customer and design engagement through specification, RFQ, commercial negotiation, and purchase order while helping establish Ebon as an approved transformer and power-distribution supplier in the North American data center market.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute Ebon Energy's North American Data Center business growth plan.
- Build and expand relationships with hyperscalers, colocation operators, developers, consulting engineers, EPCs, and electrical contractors.
- Drive Ebon's inclusion on Approved Manufacturer Lists, Approved Equal lists, and project specifications.
- Identify and develop strategic accounts and major data center opportunities.
- Lead opportunities from early design engagement through RFQ, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and PO.
- Partner closely with Application Engineering on specifications, compliance requirements, deviations, drawings, technical submittals, and customer requirements.
- Maintain disciplined account plans, opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and competitive intelligence.
- Provide market insight on customer requirements, competitors, project activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Help shape Ebon's commercial strategy and market presence as the U.S. organization continues to grow.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of sales or business development experience in data centers, critical power, electrical equipment, power infrastructure, or related markets.
- Working knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution and transformer applications.
- Established customer relationships within the North American data center ecosystem.
- Demonstrated success selling complex electrical equipment, infrastructure solutions, or other capital equipment.
- Proven ability to develop opportunities through technical evaluation, RFQ/RFP, commercial negotiation, and contract or PO award.
- Ability to engage effectively with executive decision-makers, commercial stakeholders, engineers, EPCs, and other technical audiences.
- Strong business-development, relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% within the United States.
Compliance: Candidates must be free from any active non-compete or contractual restrictions that would prevent immediate engagement with relevant target customer groups.
Why Join Ebon Energy?
This is an opportunity to join Ebon Energy at an important stage of our U.S. growth and help build the data center business from the ground up.
Rather than stepping into a narrowly defined sales territory, you will have the opportunity to help shape market strategy, develop key customer relationships, influence how we approach the North American data center market, and work directly with leadership and technical teams as the organization expands.
For a commercial leader who enjoys building—not simply maintaining—an established book of business, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Ebon's U.S. growth.
Compensation & Benefits
Ebon Energy offers a competitive compensation package designed to recognize both individual performance and contribution to long-term business growth. The compensation structure for this position may include:
Base Salary
- Performance Bonus

Build What's Next
If you have strong relationships in the North American data center ecosystem, understand how power infrastructure moves from specification to award, and are energized by the opportunity to help build a business rather than simply inherit one, we'd like to hear from you.
