What You'll Do
- Create and revise 2D drawings using AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar CAD software.
- Develop and maintain 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Generate production, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Manage drawing revisions and production documentation.
- Create CNC nesting layouts to maximize material utilization.
- Utilize ERP software for scheduling, work order creation, and inventory management.
- Review blueprints and technical specifications.
- Support quality control and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and production teams to solve problems and improve efficiency.
- Maintain organized engineering and production records.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or training in drafting, CAD technology, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar 2D drafting software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- SolidWorks 3D modeling experience.
- Experience with production drawings, BOMs, and revision control.
- ERP software experience involving scheduling, work orders, or inventory control.
- CNC nesting experience.
- Sheet metal, metal fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
- Quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
