Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Blending Lead to oversee blending operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring product accuracy, consistency, and compliance with all quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the supplement or food manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of cGMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily blending operations to ensure production schedules are met
- Set up and change over to meet production requirements including. Work closely with Quality Assurance to perform pre-operational inspections prior to blending.
- Verify all ingredients and lot numbers prior to blending to ensure accuracy and traceability
- Combine ingredients according to formulas including weighing out raw materials, dumping raw materials, metering/weighing liquid material, and turning on mixer (either dry or wet blends) at appropriate speed.
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP guidelines and company SOPs
· Observe & maintain necessary written documentation to include:
lot numbers of materials, authorized deviations, temperatures, temperature chart notations, mixer speeds, time recording/interruptions, metal detector checks, and filters.
- Transfer completed product into WIP (work in process) containers. Train and guide blending team members on procedures, safety, and best practices
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize process vessels and associated equipment to adhere to all Company SOP's, GMP, including sanitary requirements, and safety.
- Identify and report any deviations, discrepancies, or quality concerns immediately
- Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Required: Prior experience in dietary supplement or food manufacturing (2-4 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cGMP regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and documentation
- Experience reading and following batch records and SOPs
- Ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced production environment
- Proficient math skills and ability to perform accurate calculations and conversions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership or lead experience in a blending or manufacturing role
- Experience with powders, oils, or encapsulation processes
- Forklift certification (a plus)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with powders and strong natural aromas
Salary : $22 - $26
