Job Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Truck Driver to join our team. The Full-Time role is Monday thru Friday (home daily). We are a family owned dedicated carrier that operates in the NE region (drop and hook) pulling 53' dry-van trailers. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Duties
- Operate and drive our semi-trucks pulling dry-van trailers (driver delivers wooden pallets of dry-food products utilizing a pallet jack)
- Drop-and-hook to EDS trailers and pull to depot locations or shuttles between our manufacturing plant and warehouse.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo information.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven driving experience pulling dry-van trailers
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and dispatchers effectively.
- Commitment to safety practices in all driving activities.
- Manual Transmission experience is preferred, but not essential.
