Position Overview

The Outside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving growth for Eberhart Sign & Lighting by opening new doors, building long-term relationships, and helping customers improve their visibility, branding, lighting, and facility image.

This is a base salary plus uncapped commission opportunity designed for a true hunter mentality salesperson — someone who thrives on prospecting new customers, generating opportunities, building relationships, and creating long-term revenue growth. We are looking for someone excited by the challenge of building and managing a strong sales pipeline while helping grow one of the region’s most established sign and lighting companies.

This role will focus heavily on:

·      New business development

·      Prospecting and lead generation

·      Building long-term customer relationships

·      Expanding Eberhart’s footprint throughout the Metro East and St. Louis region

·      Growing recurring service and maintenance opportunities

·      Competitive base salary 40-70K Depending on experience

Job Responsibilities

·      Prospect and develop new commercial business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and relationship development

·      Build and manage an active sales pipeline focused on long-term growth

·      Meet with commercial customers to identify signage, lighting, branding, maintenance, and service needs

·      Collaborate with internal teams to develop scopes of work, estimates, and project proposals

·      Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through project closeout

·      Prepare professional proposals, presentations, and customer communications

·      Promote Eberhart’s capabilities in signage, lighting service, LED conversions, electronic message centers, maintenance programs, and custom projects

·      Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with commercial, industrial, retail, municipal, healthcare, and education clients

·      Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline forecasting, and project documentation

·      Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and competitive offerings

·      Assist in resolving customer concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

·      Represent the company professionally at networking events, community events, and industry functions
